Thanks for nothing WordPress

Ok, so I’m not a web designer. I honestly hate it with a passion and the only reason I even attempt to do it a couple weeks out of the year is so I don’t have to mess with it the rest of the time. I have to be in the mood to care, and most of the time I just don’t. While I was redesigning this site, I just sucked it up and hoped it would be over with soon.

Therefore, I know I don’t have good coding practices and I have terrible organization skills.

Apparently, when you click “auto upgrade” in the new WordPress, however, it takes upon itself the notion to delete all of your customizations. I haven’t backed up this site in a while, and I know that’s an important thing to do – but nowhere in the auto update page did it even mention it. So in 10 seconds, all of the customization on this site disappeared. So you’ll be seeing a mess here and there until I get it all back together.

Bummer. But thanks for the heads-up. I was just about to upgrade myself!
