2010 Preview

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Typically I don’t make plans to break them, I just don’t bother with planning at all. This year, however, I believe that will change somewhat. Below is a rough outline of where I’m going in the next few weeks. Read the rest of this entry »

2009 Sales Review

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

I’m currently well behind, trying to keep up with the business side of things, thus that is the reason no new president was posted this weekend. For that I apologize.

To hold you over, however, I will be posting up some other new work until I can get back into the president series. I also thought it’d be interesting to look back at the sales report of 2009 and give out some honors to the best selling states and hopefully shame the bottom states into action. So here were go! Holton Recorder

I had another excellent article written up about me in The Holton Recorder.

I love scanning in newsprint to, such a nice texture. Read the rest of this entry »

Sunday Celebrity

Saturday, December 12th, 2009

Friends in the greater Topeka area, I have a job for you all… tomorrow 12-13!

First thing, pick up a Topeka Capital-Journal and find the Midway. There’s going to be an article on me in the news-rag! Not only was I stoked that they sought me out and came up for the interview, but they chose to put me in the Sunday paper!

Then stay up real, real late and watch KTKA Channel 49 ABCs 10 o’clock news. They came up to shoot a feel good piece on me, so I’m gonna be on the tuba-vision too!

For those of you not in the local news coverage radius, I’ll be posting both those pieces on the newly added Press Section of my site as soon as possible.

Carry on.

Qdoba

Qdoba

When I was a child (read: college kid), I loved Chipotle. Now there’s nothing wrong with my old friend Chip, I like a soft taco every now and then and an iPhone app that lets me order food is extremely cool indeed. But these days a new jefe moved into town. I’ve heard of it before, I even ate it in college as well, but it never clicked for me… til now. I love Qdoba! Read the rest of this entry »

Chevelle » Sci-Fi Crimes

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

Artist: Chevelle
Album: Sci-Fi Crimes
Release Date: August 31st, 2009
Label: Sony

I realize I’m months behind on posting this.

But, if you’ve followed me through my dissection of the Chevelle catalog you know where I stand. I’m a huge fan. However, with the slight letdown that was Vena Sera I honestly had no expectations for this album, negative or positive. I shied away from listening to singles, visiting their myspace or any other viral ads that may have surfaced surrounding this release. Unfortunately, that naivety led me to miss out on the Hot Topic exclusive tracks which I now really wish I had bought the first time. Read the rest of this entry »

Come & Live

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

I’ve been meaning to post about Come & Live for a few months now, but now that they have an official campaign going to raise funds for their new website, I feel it’s time to mention this wonderful vision. Ran fully by the generous donation of fans, Come & Live is very worthy cause for fans of music. The money goes towards finishing the new website and in effect it supports a bunch of people/artists/musicians who are in it for the right reasons… Jesus.

News & Notes November

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

Well well well… I’ve been a bad blogger haven’t I?

I don’t lack a great reason! If you haven’t noticed, I have begun to upload second editions of many of the United Plates prints whilst still working on the US Presidents series.

I redesigned the site, added Google Checkout (the best service ever!) to my store and… oh yeah, got a feature page in the latest issue of Food Network Magazine! Read the rest of this entry »
