NCAA Championship

I realized that I forgot to post about last nite’s NCAA Championship game. That’s probably do to the fact that after highly anticipating and watching every second of the first two rounds, devouring the second weekend in a similar manner and watching the Final Four games this past weekend, I was treated to what was in my opinion the most anti-climatic ending possible to this years tourny.

Don’t get me wrong, I wanted Hansbrough to win, just not more than I wanted Michigan State to win for the state of Michigan. Also, I was pretty bummed because at the start of the tournament I felt like UNC was going to win it all… then talks of Lawson’s toe had me switch to Louisville in my brackets.

Then there’s the Roy factor. I still like our old coach and I’m glad he one another one, but I’m also glad we have Bill Self now. I like him so much better. I’m just sometimes torn between cheering for or against the coach I once held to highly in esteem.

UNC dominated, plain and simple. I really don’t know if any team could have beaten them the way they were playing in this Final Four weekend. It just made for a very boring game for me.

So congrats to UNC fans, here’s to hoping Sherron Collins comes back next year!
