John Wayne Holcomb of Mayetta
John Wayne Holcomb was born in a small town, and he lives in a small town. Ok, enough of the Mellencamp and enough of the third person... well, maybe not the Mellencamp. I'm still hayseed enough to say that I love the fact that I am a from the Midwest. I went to regular old school and did regular old things, then I went to university and did more of the same. I've been drawing pictures and pushing pixels ever since I was a kid. I loved creating entire basketball leagues and playing tournaments with myself and the hoop in my backyard. I'm still quite proud of my master creation, the 7 foot dunking machine from Alabama State, the great T.P. Rocketslamino*. Not only did I create the teams and their players, but I sketched all their faces and drew all the team logos in CorelDraw. Since then I've traded in my hoop dreams for artistic dreams. I'm particularly drawn to silk-screening and oil painting at the moment. I love creating art in the domain of landscape and portraiture and I illustrate graphically. Ok, enough about me. Now I gotta get back to work!
*note, no I couldn't dunk as a kid since I still possess no leaping ability.
